Tickets for the Jersey v Doncaster game will
remain on sale today (Saturday = match-day). Sales have been
buoyant, well ahead of any other game so far this season, but
there remains plentiful availability.
Ticket sales on Saturday will be at JRFC only, from 12noon - no
tickets will be sold during Saturday morning. There will still be a
good number available on Saturday, but we are encouraging people to
turn up in good time.
MATCH-DAY ARRANGEMENTS
Please allow plenty of time to get to St Peter. Anyone with a
'normal' match-day routine should be aware that this isn't a normal
match, so JRFC suggests you adapt accordingly! The following points
may help plan your day:
* Gates open from 12noon - the club won't be open
before this time
* Car parking: there will be plentiful car
parking on pitches two and three, accessed from Jersey Bowl. Please
allow extra time for your journey, and follow the instructions from
stewards. The pitches could be muddy if the weather is wet
* Buses: no hassle with parking, no worries about
being tempted to drive after having a couple of pints - why not
come by bus? There will be duplicate services on the number 9 Greve
de Lecq route which runs to JRFC, and regular services on route 15
to the airport (get off at the penultimate 'Mermaid' stop). Coming
from the east of the Island? There's a £2 'through-fare' covering
two journeys, saving £1.40 on the normal price. For details see THIS
LINK
* Food & drink. Bars and other outlets will
open from 12noon. There will be an additional marquee bar in the
club car-park. Additional beer stocks have been ordered and real
ale will be available in the clubhouse and the Sin-Bin bar at the
west end of the ground, as well as in the Pavilion
* The Club Shop will be open from 12noon to
5.45pm - there is a 10% discount on all stock, with replica shirts
slashed by 15%, and many other special offers
* Jersey Colts will be playing their counterparts
from Consett, County Durham, after the 1st XV game on pitch 1
(kick-off approx 5.30pm)
* There will be a bucket collection for Jersey Women's
Refuge, who will also be selling the 'Real Man' t-shirts
as promoted by Jersey players
See you tomorrow!
